Mrs. Charlotte Stone was born near Burlington, Iowa, Nov. 23, 1938. Passed away at the home of her son, M. R. Stone on South Elm street, Newkirk, on February 10, 1929, age 90 years, 2 months, 17 days..
At the age of 18 years she was married to Henry Smith. To this union was born three children, two boys and one girl. One son and the daughter died. The surviving son is W. M. Smith of Covington, Oklahoma. Mr. Smith was a Civil War veteran and died in the service..
She was again united in marriage to Wm. Stone. To this union was born three children, one of whom, M. R. Stone, survives. Her husband preceded her in death. She has been making her home for the past two years at the home of her son, M. R. Stone..
Funeral services were held at the Weber Funeral home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. H. O. Langston officiating..
Hymns used in the service were: "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," Have Thine Own Way Lord," and Abide With Me.".
