    William Johnson born 1735 in Scotland, died 1798, Laurens Co. SC, appears in the 1790 Laurens Co. SC census. He married , in 1753, Laurens Co. SC, Sarah Tannehill, born 1735 Laurens Co. SC, died 1808 in Laurens Co. SC; children named in his will are Elizabeth, Larkin, Sarah, Abraham, and Jesse.

    Abraham Johnson born 1774, Laurens Co. SC, died 8 Sept 1829, Laurens Co. SC, married Anney Miller, born 1775 in SC, died 1866 in Laurens Co. SC; children named in his will are George, John, Sarah, Wiliam, Anderson / Andrew F., Abraham, Margaret, Jess.

    George Johnson was probably born about 1799, Laurens Co. SC and died 21 Nov 1847 in Laurens Co. SC. Named in his will are wife Martha, 4 small children, George Washington, Willard Simpson, Sarah Ann, John Wesley, also other children William, Abraham, and Margaret A. Miller (w/o John Miller Sr.). The Exec: is brother Anderson Johnson. It appears the small children are so named as they were not yet of legal age, 21, when the will was written.

    . In 1850 George is found in Laurens Co. SC. At that time he is a young farmer with real estate valued at $150.00, supporting a wife and three children. Rebecca, age 60, is also residing in the household.

    In 1860 he has moved to Aberdeen, Monroe Co., Eastern Division MS., where he increased his real estate to $800.00. About 1866 he migrated to Little Black Township, Randolph County where he is found on the 1867 tax roll.

    In 1870, Little Black Township, George and family of ten, are residing in the home of John McKee. The census record indicates he is a farmer with $800.00 of real estate and $100.00 of personal property. There is no known reason as to his residence with Mr. McKee. He remained in Little Black Township until sometime between 1870 and 1880 when he relocated to Columbia Township.

    In 1890 he is found in Elevenpoint Township, where it is assumed he died.

    Sarah and George lived to be 61 and 69 respectively and left seven male heirs to carry on the family name. Descendants now live not only in Randolph Co. but also across the nation in California, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas.

    Note: some trees say Jesse mentioned in will but no documentation to support it. Linda Hollman sent me the transcribed will, and NO Jesse is mentioned. (see attached)
