Miss Hilda Marie Cook became the bride of Duane Edward Geske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gesk e of 210 Redwood Drive, Godfrey, during a 7 p. m. ceremony performed Friday in St. Bernard' s Catholic
Church, Wood River.
The couple received their friends and relatives in the East Alton American Legion Hall afte r the wedding, at which the Rev. Patrick Wright officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Mildred Cook of 619 Monroe, East Alton, and the late Alber t Cook of Fieldon. She was escorted to the altar by her brother, James Cook.
Long, full sleeves and a cathedral train were featured on the bride's gown, and her veil wa s edged in lace. Her bouquet contained carnations and red roses with baby's breath.
She was attended by Miss Betsy Fowler as maid of honor; and by three bridesmaids, Mrs. Leon Z immerman, Mrs. James Cook and Miss Kathy Cook.
The women were attired in powder blue sheer and floral printed gowns, and carried single long -stemmed roses.
John Sullivan served as best man. The groomsmen were Leon Zimmerman, Allan Cook and Joe Cook . David Wahle and Les VanAlstine were ushers.
The bride is a graduate of East Alton- Wood River High School. Her husband, a graduate of Alt on High School, is employed by Olin Corporation, East Alton.
After a honeymoon trip to Table Rock Lake, Mo., the couple will live at 1207 W. Exchange, Jer seyville.
