Snider
Ernest "Red" Spider, 75, formerly of 1701 Hale St., Alton, died at 10:40 a.m. Saturday at th e Anna-Henry Nursing Home in Edwardsville.
He retired in 1963 from the maintenance department at Olin Corp.
His wife, Ethel, died Nov. 4, l973.
Surviving are three sons, Duane of Sunnyvale,; Calif., Eugene of Sylmar, Calif. and Darrel l of Trenton, N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Tolbert of Alton, Ill; 11 grandchildren; nine gre at - grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Laura Sheff of VanNuys. Calif.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gent Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Tod d Taylor, pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Fieldon Cemetery.
