Sandra Harris
BELLEVILLE
Sandra J. Harris, 62, formerly of Bethalto, died at 4:46 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2003,
at Barnes- Jewish Hospital in St. Louis and was greeted at the gates of heaven.
Born March 8, 1940, in Alton, she was a daughter of Howard and Mildred (Mathews) Worsham. Sh e married Elwood "Woody" Harris Jr. on Oct. 14,1995, in Alton.
A homemaker, she will be missed and always remembered for her love of family, crafts, flowers , painting and shopping. The 1958 graduate of Civic Memorial High School in Bethalto was a me mber of the Beltline Christian Center in Alton.
In addition to her loving husband, surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Kimberly Fra nklin of St. Ann and Beth and Charlie Wilson of Lorton, Va.; two sons and a daughter-in-law , Brian K. and Deirdre Franklin of Fort Stewart, Ga., and Christopher Johnson of Indianapolis ; 10 grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jacquelyn and Earl Traylor of Brighton a nd Elba and Paul Vanek of Colomo, Mich.; a niece; four nephews; and her poodle, Ebony.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, . Jonathan Underhill; and two brothers , Gary and Larry Worsham.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Elias- Smith Funeral Homes and Crematory in Beth alto.
Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Friday at the Beltlin e Christian Center. Services will be conducted by the Revs. Terry Watson and Davin Phillips.
Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery.
