Aubrey Bailey
HARDIN - Aubrey Arthur Bailey, 74, died at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6,1992, at Calhoun
Care Center in Hardin.
He retired from the Illinois Division of Highways.
Born Jan. 12, 1918, in Hardin, he was the son of the late Wilson Rush and Minnie (Geske) Bail ey.
On July 25, 1938, in Kentucky, he married the former Bernice L. Reddish, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Anthony and Arthur Bailey, both of Hardin; a daughter, Carmen
Thurmon of Midland, Texas; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister,
Lela Edminston of Alton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jacob Bailey Sr.; and two sisters, Ada Rose Smith an d Margaret Wilson Utterback.
The body was cremated.
A memorial service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 14 at Hanks-Gubser Funeral Home in
Hardin. The Rev. Wayne Strubbergwill officiate.
Burial is in Hardin Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Calhoun County Ambulance Service.
