Ralph Taviner
HARDIN Ralph E. Taviner, 77, died expectedly at 5 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 1988, at Jersey
Community Hospital in Jerseyville.
He was the owner and operator of Taviner's Store in Hardin, retiring in 1974.
Born in Hardin, he was a son of the late Edward and Flora (Smith) Taviner.
He married the former Eugenia "Jean" Lyles in November 1931, in Carrollton, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James and Patrick Taviner, both of Hardin; five grandchildren; a
great-grandchild; and a brother, Glenn Taviner of Hardin. He was preceded in death by two son s, Kenneth and Ronald Taviner.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. today at Hardin Presbyterian Church.
Burial was in Hardin Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Calhoun Ambulance Service or the Hardin Presbyterian Church, whe re Taviner was a member.
Hanks Funeral Home of Hardin was in charge of arrangements.
