Glen Kinder
HARDIN - Glen Charles Kinder, 69, died at 8:42 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 1992, at Jersey
Community Hospital in Jerseyville.
A U.S. Army WoVld War II veteran and farmer he retired in 1982 as a deckhand with the
state of Illinois Department of Transportation.
Born Sept. 21, 1923, in Golden Eagle, he was the son of the late Paul L. and Lucinda H. (Less eg) Kinder.
He married the former Mildred E. Smith in Pittsfield on Aug. 9, 1958. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Paul David Kinder of Hardin; two daughters, Glenda K. Panek and
Gayle L. Sinclair, both of Jerseyville; six grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn L. Sherman of War renton, Mo.; and a brother, Lavern P. Kinder of Alton.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hanks-Gubser Funeral Home in Hardin, where
services are at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. R. Ankney will officiate.
Hardin American Legion Post 636 will conduct military graveside rites at Hardin Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Hardin, where he was a member, or
to a charity of one's choice.
