Notes |
- Some records show her married to Malcom G. Noel on 24 Dec 1857 in Madison, Monroe Co, Missouri. She is also shown to have a 3rd husband J.E. Riggs, no dates. However, dates, places conflict; so might be a different Sarah Wood.

Proposed Change: Family: Bud Morris/Sarah Ann Wood (F6762)
Tree: Roots

Description: I am a descendant of this couple and have numerous names and dates of the other descendants. Someone has given me a birth year of Bud as 1836 and place Kentucky. There are also possible given names of David Madison Morris, but it is very sketchy. I would like to correspond with whoever is working on this. The Batts line has been explored more than the Morris line. Did they live in Audrain or Randolph County? What was his occupation? Mother told me the
family lived in the woods and made things out of wood to sell, like barrel staves.

Hi, Kathryn.
Well, I fumbled around a bit on Sarah Wood in Ancestry and didn't find much. I did find a tree who had her married to David M. Morris; and did find a 1900 Fulton Co Arkansas, census of David M 67 KY & Sarah A 59, says married 1854 and she bore 5 children, 4 living. However, info I have is that she died in Missouri 6 Nov 1904, only 4 yrs later -- not Arkansas. That tree had a kind of messy listing of kids, so not very comfortable with their info. Nor did I see anything confirming she is the dau of George & Nancy Batts.
I found another tree that had Malcom G. Noel as a husband m 24 Dec 1857 Missouri --- so could not be same Sarah.
I had also been given another husband J.E. Riggs, not sourced; but found nothing on my own on that.
Everything on her seems mismatched. So, I dunno!!
I'll wait to hear from you about if Sarah Woods Morris is for sure dau of George & Nancy; but I have a mind to just delete all her husbands, at least Noel & Riggs since they conflict with dates given in 1900 census.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.
