- Executed a deed on February 24, 1819 in Bedford County, Tennessee. He and his wife, Susannah, Joseph and Robert Hastings and Thomas Cates and wife sold to Stephen and Henry Hastings, land on the waters of Big Flat Creek. [Helen C. Marsh and Timthy R. He witnessed the death of Eli Bearden in 1831 Bedford Co, TN (said at time of death owned several tracts of land adj Samuel Pollock) [Easley, SC Southern Historical Press, Inc., 1988] page 84.
He was involved in a law suit on December 28, 1843 in Bedford Co, TN, brought by James Deery vs. Samuel Pollock and John Hastings. Said Pollock was a resident of Alabama and is endebted to Deery. Pollock is entitled to a share of the estate of Susannah Hastings, dec'd and was ordered to pay complt (Ibid., p 89 from Court Minutes 1837 - 1845 p 283)
He was involved in a law suit circa 1844 in Bedford Co, TN brought by James Deery. Said Samuel Pollock of Benton Co., AR [perhaps AL] was endebted to Deery for $118.25 due in 1827 but Pollock was insolvent. Pollock is one of 6 distributees of estate of Susannah Hastings, dec'd [Ibid., p 108 from Court Minutes 1840 - 1848 p 117]
Susanna Hastins (listed as Susanna Pollock, wife of Samuel, heir of Joseph Hastings) [Marsh and Marsh Land Deed Geneology, p 68] was born circa 1794 Orange Co, NC. She died after 1850 (and could not be located in any records after 1850 census). She appeared on the census of 1850 Benton Co, AL (Dist. 30, p 441), Susanna Pollock, age 56, born NC.

Died before 28 December 1843 as shown in the suit of James Deery vs Samuel Pollock & John Hastings. Samuel Pollock is entitiled to a share of the estate of Susannah Hastings, deceased. Samuel Pollock is a resident of AL. John Hastings is administrator of the estate of Susannah Hastings. (Bed TN, Chancery Court Minutes, 2/283). There are 6 distributees of the estate of Susannah Hastings of which Samuel Pollock of Benton County, AL is one (Ibid 3/117)
