Mrs. Bessie L. Beaty, 922 Palean St. died today at Keokuk
Area Hospital East.
She was born Aug 25, 1894 in Kirksville, MO. and was the
daughter of Seth and Sally Stone Dains.
A resident of Keokuk since 1930, she married Everett Malloy
on Jan 24, 1911 and later married Everett Beaty on Jun 18,
1957 in St. Louis, MO. She was a Catholic.
She is survived by five daughters-Mrs. Eudora Gaibel, Rock
Island, ILL; Mrs. John (Delores) Speake, Montrose; Mrs. Ada
Kay, Montrose; Mrs. E. Dean (Dorothy) Trone, Warsaw, ILL;
Mrs. Jerry (Norma) Cattich, Pacifica, Calif.; three sons- Elmer Malloy, Keokuk; John Malloy, Tuscon, Ariz; and Tom Malloy, Phoenix, Ariz; two sisters- Mrs. Verda White, Keokuk; and Mrs. Amy Grey, Pacifica, Calif.; a brother, Jay Dains, Cedar Rapids; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded by her parents, four
brothers, a son in infancy, and a daughter.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at DeJong's
Funeral Home with Rev. John Varner officiating. Interment
will be in the Charleston Cemetery.
