Email from Bob Arnebeck:
In a new book, Creating Capitol Hill, Mary Hill Carroll\'s death is listed as 1822. The Carroll family tree in the book doesn\'t show her second marriage to Ignatius Fenwick. They list her as being born in 1744.
After Fenwick\'s death she continued to live near her son Daniel Carroll on the south slope of Capitol Hill. In 1800 just as Washington City was welcoming congress an angry purchaser of building lots objected to her own house being in a planned street and the shacks of her slaves also being in the way.
