STRONG CITY --- Al Will, 87, Strong City, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at a Cottonwood Falls care center.
Mr. Will was a ranch manager at the Price Ranch in Texas and in Strong City for more than 50 years before retiring in 1990. He earlier had worked in the Melvin, Iowa, area.
He was born April 2, 1915, in Dundurn, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Paul A. and Emily Schoer Will. He moved with his family to South Dakota in 1917 and then to Melvin, Iowa, in 1930. He moved to Texas in the late 1930s.
He married Florence Daub on Jan. 22, 1960, in Cottonwood Falls. They divorced.
Survivors include a brother, Jack Will, Skellytown, Texas; and a sister, Stella Dillard, Borger, Texas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Brown-Bennett- Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. Burial will be at the Strong City Cemetery. Mr. Will will lie in state at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Alfred E. Will, 87, of Strong City, died Jan. 3, 2003, at the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls. The funeral service was Jan. 7, 2003, at the Brown- Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls. Father Jeffery A. Fasching, St. Anthony Catholic Church, Strong City, officiated. Interment was in the Strong City Cemetery.
Alfred E. Will, the son of Paul A. and Emily Schoer Will, was born April 2, 1915, in Dundurn Saskatchewan, Canada. He and his family moved from Canada in 1917 and lived at various farms in South Dakota before moving to Melvin, Iowa, in 1930. He moved to Texas during the late 1930's and worked as a ranch manager for the Price Ranch, both in Texas and Strong City, for over 50 years. He retired in 1990. He married Florence Daub on Jan. 22, 1960, at the Chase County Courthouse, Cottonwood Falls. They were divorced. She survives.
He is also survived by one brother, Jack Will of Skellytown, Texas; and one sis ter, Stella Dillard of Borger, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Eldo, Louie, Lester, Paul and Ernest Will; and three sisters, Elsie Verdoes, Lilly Greselin and Hazel Amundson.
