my land In Virginia called "Paradice," now in possession of Francis Lee, the aversion left me by my Hon. Father, Philip Lee, Esq, to my son Thomas Sim Lee, and my dau. Sarah Brooke Lee, to be equally divided bet. them; In case of either of their deaths, to the survivor, and In case of death of both my son and dau., without legal hrs. then I leave the land to be divided bet. nephews Philip Lee, son of Philip Lee, and Archer Lee, son of Arthur Lee.
Give my Note of Trust of land called "Leer Purchase" or "Stump Dale on Potomack, left me by my Honorable Father, to my dear wife,
Will my land on Senecca Creek in Frederick Co. and an Island purchased of Thomas Beall to be sold for payment of my debts by ex.; same to be sold and divided among my child.

I, Arthur Lee of CC, far the love 1 have for my wife, Ann Lee, and also that I may fulfill my promise to her before marriage, and for the great regard 1 have for my 2 sons-in-law, Robert and Jonathan Yates, and for divers other good causes, I confirm unto my son-in-law, sd Robert -Yates, 1 large silver punch bowl which did belong to his father, the late Major Robt Yates, deceased. And for like reason, give my son-in-law Jonathan Yates, 1 Negro girl, about 10 years old, called Judeth, daughter of Negro Moll, now my proper slave. Signed May 24, 1744 - Arthur Lee. This Indenture Made this Twentieth Day of February in the Year of Our Lord Seventeen
Hundred and Fifty Between Arthur Lee of Charles County and Charles Jones of the same County Whereas
William Courts by Indenture properly Acknowledged and Recorded in pursuance of an Act of Assembly of this Province in
such Case made and provided and under the Hand and Seal of the said William Courts and bearing Date the Seventeenth Day of
April Seventeen hundred and Fifty for the Consideration therein Specified Did Give Grant Bargain and Sell unto the said Arthur Lee and Charles Jones their Heirs and Assigns for Ever All that Tract or parcell of Land Called Clear Drinking Situate Lying and being on the West Side of Rock Creek Branch in Frederick County under the Metes and Bounds Described and Expressed in the said Indenture
together with All and Singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcell of Land as aforesaid to them the said Arthur Lee and Charles Jones their Heirs and Assigns for Ever to them and their proper Use and Behoof as by the said Recited Indenture Referrence being thereunto had may more at Large Appear By Virtue of which said Grant or Conveyance the said Arthur Lee and Charles Jones are now Jointly Seized in their Possession in their Demesne as of fee of the Land
and Premisses here before mentioned to be to them Granted Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Arthur
Lee and Charles Jones do by these presents make a full perfect and absolute Partition of the said Land and all the Premisses to them Granted by the above Recited Indenture to and amongst them the said Arthur Lee and Charles Jones in manner and form following that is to Say by Dividing the said Land into Two parts by Running a Line from a Marked Oak standing on or near the Creek
aforesaid on the East Side of the said Land Running North Seventy Nine Degrees West Four Hundred and Twenty four Perches to the South Line of the said Tract or Parcell of Land And that the said Arthur Lee and his Heirs and Assigns shall have hold Occupy and Enjoy to him the said Arthur Lee his Heirs and Assigns to the only use and Behoof of the said Arthur Lee his Heirs and Assigns All that part of the said Land with the Appurtenances Scituate lying and being on the South Side of the Bounding Line for
the full part purpart and portion of the said Arthur Lee of in and to All and Every the Premisses here before mentioned to be Granted to the said Arthur Lee and Charles Jones And the said Charles Jones his Heirs and Assigns shall have hold Occupy and Enjoy to him the said Charles Jones his Heirs and Assigns To the only Proper Use and Behoof of the said Charles Jones his Heirs and Assigns All that other part of the said Land with the Appurtenances Scituate Lying and being on the North Side of the said Dividing Line for the full part purpart and portion of the said Charles Jones of in and to All and every the portions here before mentioned to be Granted to the said Arthur Lee and Charles Jones And the said Charles Jones doth by these presents Give Grant Assign Release and Confirm unto the said Arthur Lee and his Heirs the said part of the said Premisses Situate Lying & being on the South Line of the said Dividing Line And all the Estate Right Title and Interest which the said Charles Jones hath or may or ought to have of in or to the said part Situate Lying and being on the South Side of the said Dividing Line To have and to hold to the said Arthur Lee Doth his Heirs and Assigns To the only proper Use and Behoof of the said Arthur Lee his Heirs and Assigns for Ever But the said Arthur Lee Doth by these presents Give Grant Assign Release and Confirm to the said Charles Jones and his Heirs the aforesaid other part of the premisses Scituate Lying and being on

and portion of the said Charles Jones free Clear and Discharged of and from All other Estates Rights Titles Interests Charges and Incumbrances whatsoever had Made Caused or willingly Suffered of or by the said Arthur Lee his Heirs or Assigns and without any Let Trouble Suit Entry Disturbance or Interruption of the said Arthur Lee his Heirs or any or either of them or of any Person or Persons Lawfully Claiming by from or under them or any of them And the said Charles Jones by himself for himself his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns Doth Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Arthur Lee his Heirs and Assigns by these presents that he the said Arthur Lee his Heirs and Assigns shall or may from thence forth for Ever well peaceably and Quietly Have Hold Occupy

Maryland Charles County fs.t Feb.ry 20.th 1750 Then Came before me (the Subscriber) one of the Justices of the Provincial Court the within Named Arthur Lee and Charles Jones Gentlemen and Severally Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be their Act and Deed And at the same time Ann the Wife of the said Arthur Lee and Elizabeth the Wife of the said Charles Jones Severally Relinquished their Right of Dower of in and unto the Lands therein mentioned According as the parts thereof are Limited and Assigned and being also by me Severally Examined Apart from and out of the hearing of their said Husbands Declared that they did the same Voluntarily and freely without being Induced thereto by fear of Ill Usage from their Husbands aforesaid or any Dread of their Displeasure.
