I, Arthur Lee of CC, far the love I have for my wife, Ann Lee, and also that I may fulfill my promise to her before marriage, and for the great regard 1 have for my 2 sons-in-law, Robert and Jonathan Yates, and for divers other good causes, I confirm unto my son-in-law, sd Robert -Yates, 1 large silver punch bowl which did belong to his father, the late Major Robt Yates, deceased. And for like reason, give my son-in-law Jonathan Yates, 1 Negro girl, about 10 years old, called Judeth, daughter of Negro Moll, now my proper slave. Signed May 24, 1744 - Arthur Lee.
