George Oller was the oldest of eleven children born to Peter Oller and Abigail(Coleman)Oller who were among the first settlers in Greenwood Township. Two of George's brothers went to Kansas in the 1870's to homestead so George and Sarah took their family there by covered wagon in the early 1880's. After a few years they returned to Christian County, Illinois where they farmed until their retirement. They are buried in Antioch Cemetery near the front of the cemetery on the south side.
