| who is Martha? |
- I don't know who she is.
In 1870 census, Taylor Bayou, she is listed in G. Hayes and Virginia household with several of William and Aspasie Hargrove Harrington's children.
He is listed next door living with Levi Hargrave and Elizabeth.
In 1880 census, Orange Co, she is listed again with several of William & Aspasie's children, and with William Herrington (giving his age 60. Wm would be 52. Aspasie is not listed. However she has not passed as she is found in 1900 living with dau Zelia Linsicome, at which time she lists herself as a widow.
Best guess is she is his sister; however she could also be a 2nd wife, but why would she and he have same last name and be living in different households in 1870. Needs more research.
