- According to the great great grandson of John Morman Carson, Steve Carp enter (expresley@cox-internet.com), John and wife Sarah Arabella and th eir family moved to Chihuahua, Mexico to work in the mines there in the l ate 1890's or early 1900's. "John Morman Carson did die in Chihuahua, M ex. found his obit in the trunk. He died at home in Chihuahua of a gall s tone. He was a superintendent in the silver mines in Mex., and his son, J ohn Robert Carson (my great-grandfather) worked there as well. after Jo hn Morman died, John Robert worked a few more years in the silver mines . Then, the Mexican government nationalized the silver mines and kicked t he Yanquis out. John Robert Carson packed two sisters, Margaret Belle a nd Rose Darling, and his mother, Sarah Arabelle Payne Carson, into a co vered wagon and headed back to the states . ...lived for awhile in a co vered wagon in Blanco, TX "
