He immigrated in 1638 with the "New Haven Company" in the MARTIN with parents and siblings, but the father died during the crossing.
John first settled in New London, New London County, Connecticut, in 1664, and after his marriage to Rebecca Palmer, widow of Elisha Chesebrough, and removed to Stonington where he owned an extensive tract of land.
