- Soldier was born in 1749 at Exeter RI, and lived there at enlistment. He applied for pension 5 Jun 1818 at Edmiston, Otsego Co., NY. Lived at Stephentown, Rensselaer Co NY at one time; on 10 Aug 1832 he was living in Edmiston NY.

I am also researching Ichabod's son, Peleg Sherman, b1749 in Exeter, RI. Rev War pension file. According to his pension application, he was born in Exeter, RI and after the war was a resident of Stephentown, Rensselaer Co. and later Edmeston, Otsego Co., NY. He was alive in 1832 when he applied and received his pension in Edmeston.
