- Could this be the Philip Dulin examined for murder, in the Fauquier County VA Minute Book 1781-1784, pp. 105-106, on April 29, 1783? It certainly appears that way.
"The said Philip Dulin who was committed by Warrant under the hand and seal of Martin Pickett, Gent. was brought to the Barr and charged with the murder of Daniel Rich, and denied the fact. On hearing the said Philip Dulin and on examination of witnesses, it is the opinion of the Court that the said Philip Dulin ought to be tried for the said Offence before the Judges of the Court of Oyer and Terminer at the City of Richmond on the second Tuesday in June next."
William Dulin, Edward Ball, William Ball and JAMES GLASCOCK each pledged security of 500 pounds to ensure that Philip would appear for trial.
note: Edward & William Ball, probably his uncles.
