Noma A. Milam
April 29, 1912 - June 22, 2008
NOMA A. WEATHERS MILAM was born April 29, 1912 and passed away June 22, 2008 at the age of 96. She was born in Moore where she lived most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband Loys O. Milam, her parents Shearrer A. & Anna Belle Gleghorn Weathers; brothers: Ray Weathers and Leo Weathers; sisters: Merl Weathers and LaVane van Cleave and by one grandson Thomas Busby.
She leaves behind one son L. John Milam and wife Judy of Moore; two daughters: Rae Cote and husband D.E. of Canyon Lake, Faye Hall and husband Charles of Austin; two brothers: D.E. Weathers of Gonzales, L.A. "Red" Weathers of Bandera; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was a member of Moore Baptist church and remained active in the community, Moore Cemetery Association, and a charter member of the Home Demonstration Club. Her love of people was evident by the way she reached out to people in this community. Helping others was her thing.
Funeral services will be held at 10AM Wednesday, June 25, 2008 in the Chapel of the Hurley Funeral Home, Devine. Interment will follow in Moore Memorial Cemetery, Moore.
Family has requested memorials may be made to Moore Memorial Cemetery, P.O. Box 78, Moore, TX 78057, Devine First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 526, Devine TX 78016 or to a charity of your choice.
