- Mrs. Hanna Ford Claiborne aged 82 years, died at her home near Hillsdale, Tuesday afternoon, November 5, at 4 o'clock. Mrs. Claiborne had a stroke of paralysis several weeks ago from which she never recovered. She was a Christian woman, having many noble traits of character. being loved by many for her gentleness and kindness to her fellow beings.
Mrs. Claiborne is survived by her husband, George Claiborne; three sons, Jim Ford, of this place; Andrew Ford, of Gallatin; Johnnie Ford, of Lafayette; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Adler and Mrs. Nelia Sullivan, of Nashville; Mrs. Lon Burrow, of Hillsdale, and Mrs. Sam Claiborne, of this place. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Annie Dyer of Hillsdale and twenty-eight grand children and nine great grand children.
Funeral services were held at the home, Wednesday, November 6, conducted by Charlie Alexander. Interment was in the Hillsdale Cemetery.
