My great grandfather Thomas Jefferson Randles, was the son of Eliza Susan (Binning) and Abraham Randles Jr. He had a twin sister Sarah (Randles) Cramblett.According to my father, Abraham Randles Jr. also was a twin. For T.J. see 1880 U.S. Census for Canal Lewisville in Coshocton Co. Thomas age 27, is listed under TJ so you must search under Susan Randles. Sarah, also in 1880 U.S. Census, Canal Lewisville at age 27, is married to John Cramblet. She is listed in 1880 under "Cramlet" So you see, many times one must go by family history that is handed down and the Census is not always reliable!!! Thomas married Susan Letillia (Riser/Rizor)the daughter of Eliza Jane (Fivecoat) & Samuel Rizor, the son of Elizabeth (Fivecoat)Knight Rizor. Elizabeth married 1st Peter Knight & 2nd Abraham Riser/Rizor. Elizabeth (Fivecoat) Knight Rizor, was the daughter of Katherine & Michael Fivecoat who were both full blooded Cherokee. T.J. & his family made several trips by covered wagon out west to visit. Apparently he was skilled at his occupation of Trapper, as he was able to employ an Indian woman named Rebecca Huston as a servant. Thomas J & Susan Riser/Rizor Randles, had 5 daughters; Eliza Jane - died young, Anna Eliza (Woodrome), Artie (Carter), Elizabeth Jane (Porter), Carrie Rose (Dodd), and one son William A. also known as "Whitey." Daughter Carrie Rose, was born on the Canal Boat. She had 2 sets of twins; sons William Clyde & James Claud were born in Washington County, Arkansas and twin daughters,Mary Susan (Cunningham) & Martha Ellen (Scott) born in Coshocton, Ohio. Another of Carrie's daughters; Orlena (Hedge) was born in Aurora, Lawrence County, Missouri. Coshocton County has been well blessed with many sets of twins and even a few triplets!

Note: Susan's are correct but Thomas' dates are wrong, as this stone is a fairly new one that replaced an old one that was unreadable.
