Injured near Shelbyville, Dec 31, 1862, "Wounded slightly in face, Cedar Grove,sent to hospital by Reg. Surgeon. Hospitalized Sept 18th, 1863 by order of Brig. Surgeon. No other records. Series 1, Vol.20, part 1, page 762.

He married Elizabeth Trent (dob: 1784)(dod: 10-12-1865) 10-04-1800 at Montgomery Co, NC. He was about 35 yrs, she was 16 yrs. They are both buried in the Old NICHOLS Cemetery, Pinhook Community, Lawrence County, ALabama.
His Great Grandfather was Edmond Nichols who received a land grand from the King of England in 1758, for Montgomery Co., North Carolina. He was born before 1727 and died before 1800 Census in North Carolina. His Great Grandmother was Mary.
