"proof of Eli and his children in 1840 letter I found in which the children of James Burnett wrote Turner Bryan of Chesterfield Co., SC (who was married to their cousin Frances G. Bryan a daughter of your James's brother John who died Marion Co., SC 1815).They wanted Bryan represent them in contesting the will of their brother John Burnett who also died in Marion Dist.,SC. The letter can be found in "The South Carolina Magazine of Ancestral Research" Vol XI, Spring 1984, No. 2, pg 65.Names the deceased Eli's children as Roderick, Thomas,George,Simmons, Sally, Baker,Abby and Malitia."
