  Notes	Eneas Harned, son of Jonathan Harned, died 22 Oct 1830. He is buried in the old cemetery of the Union Baptist Church near Vertrees, Hardin Co, Kentucky. One who read the inscription on his sandstone tombstone about 30 years ago reported that th date of his birth seemed to be 1752. He was certainly one of the older chidren. He accompanied his father down the Ohio in 1780, settled near him in Nelson County and later still in Hardin County. On March 5, 1782 a survey was ordered for Eneas Harnett. From Oct 31 1782 to Nov 25, 1782 he served under Captain Jamees Samuels on an expedition against the Indians (Illinois Papers, D 100, now in Richmond Va, Department of Archives).
