After a short battle with cancer Margaret Zuckschwerdt, 67, passed away on March 28, 2007 at her home in rural Bloomfield.
Margaret was the daughter of Harvey and Hazel (Holtsclaw) Wright and born June 3, 1939 at her parents' home in Center Township.
She married Ed Zuckschwerdt on September 17, 1966. They lived and worked on several ranches in Montana, Nebraska, and Colorado for nine years before returning home to Indiana.
The Indiana University School of Medicine employed her for thirty-three years as a secretary and an administrative assistant and she very much enjoyed working with the students. Margaret was very active in the Greene County 4-H clubs for many years, a member of the Bloomfield chapter of Tr-Kappa Sorority, and Cincinnati Christian Church. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading books, and watching her children exhibit livestock.
Her father and mother, Harvey and Hazel Wright, two brothers, Harvey Jr. and Delbert Wright, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ed Zuckschwerdt, three sons, Sam of Bloomfield, Dan of Monterey, CA., and Mark of Bloomfield, three grandsons, Leonard, Nathan, and Collin, four brothers, Morris of Bloomington, Dencil of Brandon, MS, Joe of Bloomfield, and Bob Wright of Arlington, her mother-in-law Margaret Hefly of Lebanon, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Cincinnati Christian Church from 4-8 pm on Friday March 30 and from 10-11 am on Saturday March 31. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Saturday with Rev. Glen Stidd and Rev. Henry Mann Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeport cemetery.
