On 8 January 1891, "Mrs. Sallie Sliger has filed against her husband for divorce and alimony."
On 22 January 1891, "The divorce and alimony suit filed by Mrs. Sallie Sliger two weeks ago was compromised Monday and man and wife went home happy."
The April 30, 1891 edition states, "J.W. Sliger went to Tennessee four weeks ago and hasn't returned yet."
May 7, 1891, "J.W. Sliger returned from Alabama last week."
June 18, 1891, "The little girl of Mr. J.W. Sliger, near Crittenden Springs, was severely injured a few days ago by a log-drag, she got too near the log, which was drawn by a span of horses, and it ran over her, breaking her leg and severely bruising her body."
On 16 March 1893, "John Sliger, son of John W. Sliger, who lives a few miles north of Crittenden Springs, died Thursday of pneumonia."
