- Bertie Fay (Chaudoin) McIlvain, 100, a devout Christian, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013.
Memorial services were held at 11a.m. Tuesday at Martin United Methodist Church in Bedford.
Interment was at noon Wednesday at White Deer Cemetery, White Deer.
Bertie was born Nov. 16, 1912, the first child of Elmer and Amy Chaudoin in Sandtown, Ark.. Bertie was a loving mother and grandmother, avid reader, devout Christian, and friend to all.
She achieved her goal to live to be 100. Bertie is loved by family and friends from all walks of life. She was a longtime resident of Kingsmill and Pampa, and most recently in Victoria and Bedford.
Preceded in death by son, Von Dearol McIlvain; husband, Tommy McIlvain; parents, Elmer and Amy; Sister, Clara (Mrs. Don Eckman); baby brothers, Talmadge, and infant child.
Survivors include sons, Bill McIlvain and wife Ila of Cheyenne, Wyo., their two daughters and two sons, and 10 grandchildren; EJay McIlvain and wife Mary Ann of Houston, their two daughters, and five grandchildren; Ted McIlvain and wife Sandra of Grapevine, their two sons, and six grandchildren; sister, Lissie Turnage and husband Jim Ray Turnage of Oklahoma City; nieces, Kathryn Naylor, husband Jim Naylor; Vicki Toombs, husband Larry Toombs; Renee Brogan, husband Tim Brogan.
