His age is 22, b. AL, laboror and wife, Evelene, is age 18, b. TN. They are also shown on the same 1850 census dated Dec. 5th at dwelling 86.
1860 - Wm George and Evelyn are shown with 4 children at dwelling 533, and his brother, Isaah, NC and HC are at dwelling 537 on the 6th District, Decaturville P.O., Decatur Co., TN census.

These are some tax receipts I received from Robert Riggs, son of Pinkney
Lafayette Riggs, whose father was William George Riggs.
Received of William Riggs two dollars and fifty cents full of his account
due for the year 1852 this Nov. 2nd 1852. Kelly Stacy
Received of W.G. Riggs Two dollars and no cents in full of his State
and County tax for 1867 in District No. 7 J.W. McWhirter
Received of W.G. Riggs Sixteen 03/100 in full of his State and County Tax
for the year 1873 in District No. 19. (This can't be right, Decatur Co. had
only 12 Districts). This the 5th day of January 1874.

p. 14 This day H. C. Fryor and W. G. Riggs came into open court and
produced commissions from D. W. C. Scott, Governor of the State
of Tennessee as Magistrates of Decatur County, Tennessee.
Whereupon the Said Fryor and Riggs were qualified as Magistrates
to enter upon their duties of their Respective offices.
