Norma Sue Gannaway, 70, of Norman died Wednesday, Sept. 27. A memorial service celebrating her life will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Guardian Norman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Spain officiating. Guardian Norman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
She was born Feb. 17, 1936, in Rushville, Mo., to Victor D. and Alice C. (Keller) Brown. She lived in Norman for the past six years, moving from Yukon. She attended the First Christian Church in Norman. She enjoyed reading, cooking, drawing, painting, her cat, Chance, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves many wonderful loving memories with her family, they said. Survivors include daughters Sheryl Canter and husband Alvin of Blanchard, Sonita Harris and husband Dan of Reno, Nev., and Gail Blackwell and husband Allen of Austin, Texas; sons Steve Bruce of Yukon and Scott Bruce of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Harold Brown; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson, as well as many other relatives and friends.
