  Notes	Short of DNA to prove this union, the next best thing is to get him and Susannah in proximity of each other.  If she was born in Georgia and her sons were born in Georgia in 1804 and 1806, then either Lafitte made it to Georgia more than once or she did some traveling. Wikipedia says by 1805 he was in New Orleans operating a warehouse. His notoriety is the Gulf of Mexico. Effingham GA is quite a ways from NOLA. At first glance, this is not seeming likely but some research might get them together until DNA can come into play. In the meantime, it seem skeptical.
