- from letter:
my son Jacob received a letter from his cousin Andrew G. Yankee dated May 12 1839. THey were all well at that time. Their children were all married with the exception of their two youngest sons, John and Andrew, and their children scattered up and down in the world. Their sons Samuel, Jacob and Jhn are gone to the Missourie, the rest that is yet living are in Kentucky. There are five of their children (dead?) Three of them had families, the other two died single. They raised 13 children in number.
