HARDIN Harry Allen Herron, 88 of Hardin, died Saturday at Jersey County Hospital, where h e had been a patient for two weeks.
Born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Scott Herron on April 25, 1882, in Illinois, he was married to
Electa, who died in 1965. He is survived by three daughters , Mrs. Elizabeth Groppel of Jerse yville, Mrs. Myrtle Williams of Hardin, and Mrs. LeVeta Bailey of Emporia, Kan; a son, Howar d Herron of Newton, Ill.; five grandchildren , and 13 greatgrandchildren.
He also leaves three half-brothers, John Herron of California, Cecil Herron of White Hall, an d Carl Herron. A sister, Lottie Craigmiles of Hardin and a half-sister, Nellie Herron of Whit e Hall are surviving also.
Fiends may call at the C.C. Hanks Funeral Home in Hardin after 3 p.m. today.
The body will be moved to the Presbyterian Church in Hardin where the Rev. James O. Jarrell w ill officiate at funeral services Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Interment will be in the Hardin Cemetery.
The Heart Fund has been designated as a memorial.

Electa (daughter of Abner Absalom (Pollis) Snider and Mary Isabella East) was born on 10 Feb 1890 in Calhoun, Illinois; died on 17 Jan 1965 in Jersey Community Hospital, Jerseyville, Jersey, Illinois; was buried on 20 Jan 1965 in Hardin Cem, Hardin, Calhoun Co, Illinois. HARDIN - Howard M Herron. 64. of Logansport, La., and formerly of Hardin. died Thursday al Ma nsfield, La
Surviving are a daughter. Miss Deanna Herron of Cape Girardeau, Mo.: two sisters, Mrs. Elizab eth Groppell of Jerseyville and Mrs. Levita Bailey of Emporia, Kan.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m today in Logansport and graveside services will be conducte d al 2 p.m. Sunday at Hardin City Cemetery. The Rev. James 0. Jarrell wifl officiate.

Howard married Kathryn Gaither on 12 Jun 1934 in Calhoun, Illinois. Kathryn was born about 1911; died on 22 Oct 1973 in Jersey Community Hospital, Jerseyville, Jersey, Illinois; was buried on 24 Oct 1973 in Hardin Cem, Hardin, Calhoun Co, Illinois. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Overland Park - Former Emporia resident LaVeta F. Bailey, 91, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, a t the Villa St. Joseph in Overland Park.
Mrs. Bailey and her husband, LeRoy Bailey, moved to Emporia in the mid 1940s when her husban d worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. Mrs. Bailey worked at Newman's Department Store in the je welry department and in the business office. After retirement, she and her husband spent wint ers in Tucson, Ariz., where they later moved. She moved to Overland Park in 1997 to be near h er daughter.
The daughter of Harry and Electa Herron, she was born Sept. 5, 1913, at Hardin, Ill. She wa s married to LeRoy N. Bailey for 60 years before he died in 1995.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by a daughter, AliceLee Hollister of Overland Park; a sister; two gra ndsons; and one great-grandson.
A private family memorial service will be held. Mrs. Bailey was cremated.
