JERSEYVILLE - Evelyn M. Bertrang, 90, passed away at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 3,
1998, at Jerseyville Community Hospital.
She was born March 23, 1908, in Hardin, the daughter oÐthe late Louis and Rebecca (Smith) Tav iner.
A member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jerseyville, she returned to Jerseyville after h er retirement as a cafeeteria manager at Caterpillar in Aurora.
She married John Ritter and they had a daughter, Rebecca Joann (Ritter) Craddick, who lives , in Ypsilanti, Mich.
She later married Charles Bertrang. He preceded her in death as well.
Surviving in addition to her daughter are four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sis ters, Esther Ritter of Jerseyville and Edith Taft of Hardin; and many nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Singleton.
Private funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at Crawford-Holden funeral Hom e in Jerseyville, the Rev. Carol Hiteman officiating.
She will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.

Evelyn married John Ritter about 1930, and was divorced after 1932. John was born on 30 May 1899 in Kampsville, Calhoun, Illinois; died on 29 Mar 1967 in Memorial Hospital, Springfield, Sangamon Co, Illinois; was buried on 1 Apr 1967 in St. Anselm's Cemetery, Kampsville, Calhoun, Illinois. Evelyn married Charles Bertrang on 16 Jul 1955 in Calhoun, Illinois. Charles was born on 17 May 1916; died in May 1985 in Aurora, Kane Co, Illinois; was buried in Oak Grove Cem, Jerseyville, Jersey Co, Illinois. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Rebecca married Eugene Craddick on 27 Nov 1949 in Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Jerseyville, Jersey, Illinois. Eugene was born about 1931. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
