COOKEVILLE Graveside services for Millicent Lee Burns, 34, of West Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Cookeville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home.
Ms. Burns died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, in the Hospice of Palm Beach County in Palm Beach, Fla., following an extended illness with breast cancer.
She was born Nov. 26, 1971, in Cookeville to Judge Leon C. Burns of Cookeville and the late Mildred Ann Cox Burns.
Ms. Burns was a graduate of Cookeville High School. She received her bachelor of arts from Furman University in Greenville, S.C., and her master's degree in decorative arts at Glasgow University in Glasgow, Scotland. She worked in her field with the Metropolitan Museum of Art and various other galleries in New York and Philadelphia.
In addition to her father, her family includes a sister, Claire Burns of Nashville.
