    THE FAMILIAR FACE OF W.H. COOPER WILL BE SEEN NO MORE IN HIS USUAL CIRCLE AROUD THE VILLAGE OF BEECH GROVE . ON FRIDAY , JANUARY 9TH , 1920 , GOD BECKONED AND UNCLE WILL ,AS HE WAS LOVINGLY CALLED , WENT HOME . HE WAS BORN SEPTEMBER 2, 1845 , AND REMOVED FROM KENTUCKY , THE STATE OF NATIVITY , TO ARKANSAS , AND SETTLED IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF BEECH GROVE IN 1881 , AND LIVED WITHIN A STONE'S THROW OF WHERE HE SETTLED TILL THE CLOSE OF HIS EVENTFUL CAREER. .

    HE SPRANG FROM A LARGE FAMILY AND TRUE TO HIS BLOOD , HIMSELF REARED A FAMILY CONSISTING OF SEVEN CHILDREN , MRS. W.F. GROOMS OF PARAGOULD , WIFE OF OUR REAL ESTATE AGENT , BEING ONE OF THEM. ALL OF WHOM SURVIVE THE DECEASED. HE WAS 74 YEARS OLD AT HIS LAST BIRTHDAY . WHEN THE UNPLEASANT STRUGGLE OCCURRED MR. COOPER , BELIEVING THAT THE UNION SHOULD BE PRESERVED AT AT HAZARDS CAST HIS LOT UPON THAT SIDE AND THERE SERVED HIS COUNTRY IN WAR , AS HE ALWAYS DID IN PEACE , LOVINGLY , HONESTLY AND TRUE. DURING THE YEARS THAT HE WENT AMONGST US HE WAS THE VERY SOUL OF HONOR AND OF GREAT CHRISTIAN FORTITUDE. HIS LIFE WAS AN INSPIRATION TO ALL WITH WHOM HE CAME IN CONTACT. .

    HE SERVED HIS COUNTY AS JUSTICE OF THE PEACE FOR CROWLEY TOWNSHIP FOR SIX YEARS , DISCHARGING THE DUTIES OF THEAT OFFICE WITH PERFECT JUSTICE . .

    AS HE LIVED HE PASSED AWAY WITHOUT A MURMER , FAREWELL , UNCLE WILL AND MAY THE GOD OF OUR FATHERS TAKE YOU TO YOUR WELL DESERVED HOME . THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING YOU IN YOUR DAILY WALKS . FAREWELL ! FAREWELL ! .
