Doris Frances Knupple, 92, of Beaumont, died Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on April 21, 1923, to Hallie Inez Davis and George John Corrigan, in Beaumont. Doris was a generous, nurturing and kind-hearted Southern Lady. She was a devoted wife and mother, always had a smile on her face, was very outgoing and made everyone feel at home. She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking and shopping.

Survivors include her son, George E. Knupple of Abilene; grandson, Kyle E. Knupple and his wife, Michaela, of Beaumont; great-grandchildren, Kate Knupple and Maximus Knupple; and sister, Molly Wells and her husband, Howard, of Pinewood.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Everette Knupple; and one sister, Nelda Hicks.

A gathering of Mrs. Knupple?s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Broussard?s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.

Survivors include her husband, Beau Hicks; sons, Michael Hicks of Taylor and Stephen Hicks of Burnet; daughter, Cindy Hicks of Beaumont; grandchildren, Erin Hicks, Andrea Jestice, Stevie Hicks, Cassie LeBlanc, Josh Hicks, Ashley Hicks, and Krissy Hicks; great-grandchildren, Dade Castille, Shaun Darrell, Olivia Jestice, Evee O'Bier, Mackinzie Lowe, Maddison LeBlanc, and Ford Jestice; sisters, Doris Knupple and Polly Wells; sister-in-law, Margaret Jones; brother-in-law, Larry Joe Hicks; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and great-granddaughter, Ava Jane Miller.

A gathering of Mrs. Hicks' family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. with her memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 10, 2014, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont.
