RIVERTON, Wyo. James E. "Jim" Snider, 80, of Riverton, Wyo., died Thursday, March 15, 2001 , in Riverton. Cremation took place and a memorial service was held on Sunday, March 28, 2001 , in Riverton. Cards can reach his family at: Evelyn Snider, 140 Hill Street, Riverton, WY 82 501.
He was born on June 9, 2001, in Scottsbluff, to Eli and Ida (White) Snider. He spent his chil dhood in Scottsbluff, and Arcadia. He attended Scottsbluff High School and during his high sc hool year, played football, and set a running record for the mile in track. He graduated fro m Arcadia High School in 1938. He married Evelvn York on December 17, 1938. They began thei r married life in New Plymouth, Idaho, moving to the Arapahoe community in Wyoming in 1950. H e farmed and was custodian at First Interstate Bank retiring in 1982. He was active in the Ar apahoe Grange and 4-H.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn; son Jim Snider Jr. and wife Marybelle; daughters Marlene W adley and husband Marvin, Karen Hinkle and husband Russell, and Christina Strauch; 11 grandch ildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Pat Becker of Scottsbluff, Gwen Bartlet t of Lincoln, and Sue Carlson of Arlington, Texas.
