Harold J. "Bucky" Levron, Jr. A native of New Orleans, LA. and resident of Gulfport passed away Friday, December 15, 2006.
Mr. Levron is survived by one son, two daughters, his mother one brother, one sister, and four grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 20, 2006 from 6 until 9 p.m. at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 49 North in Gulfport.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 12 noon from the funeral home chapel with Reverend Lawrence Tapp officiating.
Interment will be in Wolf River Cemetery.

Harrison judge denies bond to teenager in slayings
GULFPORT A Harrison County judge has denied bond to a 17-year-old charged with capital murder in a double homicide.
On Tuesday, County Judge Robin Midcalf denied bond for Lazairian DeAngelo Murphy during a preliminary hearing in Gulfport. Midcalf did not act on bond for Junior Cleveland Green, 18, because Green was being held for state corrections officials for a probation violation.
Murphy and Green are among four teenagers accused in the slayings of Harold "Bucky" Levron and Christine "T.J." Crittenden Suber on Dec. 15, 2006. Levron, 54, and Suber, 38, were shot after they walked in on burglars at Levron's home, police said. Authorities said Suber was sexually assaulted. Both died of gunshot wounds in the head.
Last month, Midcalf denied bond to Larry Tyrese Minter, 18, and Darryl Simmons, 17, both of Gulfport and charged with capital murder in the case.
Midcalf has ordered the case be presented to a grand jury.
Prosecutors have said that if indicted, Minter and Green could be prosecuted under the death penalty. Simmons and Murphy would not face the death penalty because of their ages, prosecutors said.
On Tuesday, police Investigator Mark Clarite testified the four went to Levron's home in search of guns and money. They left, Clarite said, with Levron's pickup, bank card, ammunition from his safe and the gun Levron had in his back pocket. The gun, believed to be the murder weapon, was recovered, Clarite said.
He said fingerprints and DNA samples have been sent to a crime lab.

State seeking death penalty----Jury will be seated today in Minter trial.
In Gulfport, a jury will be seated today in the capital murder trial of Larry Tyrese Minter.
The state is seeking the death penalty for Minter, who was 18 when he was arrested with 3 others in a Gulfport police investigation. He is accused in the Dec. 15, 2006, slayings of Harold "Bucky" Levron and Christine Ann Crittenden Suber.
Minter, now 20, is 1 of 4 teens and young adults arrested in the case and the 1st of 2 who will stand trial.
Jury selection on Monday extended into the evening as Circuit Judge Lisa Dodson questioned prospective jurors one by one on the death-penalty issue. Potential jurors are disqualified from serving on a capital murder trial if they express an unwillingness to impose the death penalty.
Once seated, the jury will be sequestered. Court rules require jurors in a capital murder case be isolated until the conclusion of the trial. The jury will be announced at 9 a.m.
Levron, 54, lived on West David Drive in Pine Hills, a subdivision in the Orange Grove area. Suber was 38. Police claim both were shot to death when they walked in on a burglary in progress; Suber also was sexually assaulted.
Minter's co-defendants include Darryl Simmons Jr., 19, who will be tried separately at a later date. Junior Cleveland Green, 19, and Lazairian DeAngelo Murphy, 18, have pleaded guilty to related charges. Both are expected to testify at Minter's trial.
This is Dodson's 1st capital murder trial since the longtime prosecutor was elected and sworn in to serve on the bench in January 2007.
The Harrison County Circuit Clerk's Office summoned 400 people for jury selection. Dodson began questioning 98 prospective jurors around midmorning Monday.
If the defendant is found guilty, the trial will enter a 2nd phase with arguments and deliberation on whether to impose the death sentence.
Harrison County juries have not imposed the death penalty since 2004, when Jason Glen Taylor, 25, was sentenced to die by lethal injection. Taylor was found guilty in the capital murder of Chelle Cazeaux, 18, a store clerk killed in a Gulfport robbery in 2002.
Taylor died of apparent suicide on death row in 2005.

Circuit Judge Lisa Dodson sentenced 19-year-old Darryl Simmons Jr. on Wednesday to 40 years for manslaughter in a double homicide that occurred during a burglary.
Simmons was the last of four defendants prosecuted in the capital murders of Harold "Bucky" Levron, 54, and Christine Crittenden Suber, 38. They were shot Dec. 15, 2006, at Levron's home on West David Drive in the Pine Hills subdivision. The couple arrived separately and found four young men trying to crack open a large safe.
Simmons was set for trial next week but pleaded guilty on two counts of manslaughter. The maximum penalty is 20 years. Dodson gave him 20 years for each death, to run consecutively.
Simmons told the judge how the break-in turned deadly. His recollection matched details from two other plea agreements and evidence at the trial of the man who pulled the trigger, said Assistant District Attorney Joel Smith.
Convicted shooter Larry Minter, 21, is serving life without parole for capital murder and robbery.
Suber also was sexually assaulted. Co-defendants identified her assailant as Junior Cleveland Green, 20. Green is serving life without parole for capital murder.
Lazairian DeAngelo Murphy, 19, is serving 40 years for manslaughter.
