Samuel Simpson Beaman was born in Indiana the son of James Beaman and Lydia Helm. He married Sina Hodge on January 12, 1859 in Owen County, Indiana. She died November 8, 1877. Harison, son of Samuel and Sina, who died in infancy after only 13 days is also buried with his parents.

He married Mary Cornelia on February 7, 1878 in Christian County, Illinois. She died November 10. 1909. Both Sina and Mary are buried with him in Antioch Cemetery.

On September 7, 1910 he married Mary Lucky in Owen County, Indiana.

Samuel died April 16, 1931 in Christian County, Illinois at the age of 93. Samuel was a veteran of the Civil War.

Seven children survived their mother. They were Elliott and Troy Skinner of Belle Plaine, Kansas; Harry Skinner of Liberal, Kansas; Elvert Skinner of Granite City; Mrs. Julia Ludewick of Detroit; Mrs. Nettie Creamer of Irving and Mrs. Alto Moos of Witt.
After the death of her first husband Ida Skinner married Henry Bangert in 1929 in Greenwood township, Christian County, IL.

Mrs. Bangert's Funeral Wednesday at Church in Witt - Mrs. Ida Skinner Bangert, 78, of Witt, a lifelong resident of the Witt and Nokomis communities, died Sunday evening at Hillsboro Hospital following an illness of three weeks from a complication of ailments.
The body was removed to the Stauder and Hoehn Funeral Home in Witt. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Witt. Rev. Henry Nollsch will officate at the services and burial will be made in Antioch cemetery in Christian county.
Mrs. Banget was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Beaman and she was born in Greenwood township in Christian county on July 22, 1867. She was 78 years 7 months and 26 days old when she died.
She was twice married. She was united in marriage with Clifton K. Skinner on March 5, 1885, he died on May 7, 1910. To this union eleven children were born, seven of whom survive their mother. They are Elliott and Troy Skinner of Belle Plaine, Kansas, Harry Skinner of Liberal, Kansas, Elvert Skinner of Granite City, Mrs Julia Ludewick of Detroit, Mrs. Nettie Creamer of Irving and Mrs. Alto Moos of Witt. All seven of the children were at her bedside when she died.
In 1929 she married Henry Bangert of Greenwood township and he died nine years ago on the same date on which she died.
She leaves stepchildren, William Bangert of Taylorville, Velma and Elmer Bangert and Mrs. Ann Schneider, all of Nokomis.
Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and four brothers and two sisters, who are: William Beaman of Nokomis, Edward Beaman of Pana, Glen Beaman of Morrisonville, Grover Beaman of Hammond, Ind. and Mrs. Carrie Fowler of Nokomis, Mrs. Jessie Nolan of Taylorville.

Henry M. Beaman was born in Owen County, Indiana the son of Samuel Simpson Beaman and Sina (Hodge) Beaman. He married Mary A. Kelsey who is also buried in Antioch Cemetery. They were the parents of eight children. Their son, Henry R. died in infancy and is buried here along with both of Henry M. Beaman's parents.
