Daniel Bushnell removed with his father to Hartland, Conn. served in the latter part of Rev. War in his father's Co. at age of 16 it is claimed. After the war he became a carpenter and built the Congregational Church at Hartland, the door step of which carries this inscription, "Built by Mr. Daniel Bushnell, raised June 30, 1801." About 1803/4 he removed to Hartford,Ohio, and built the Congregational Church there in 1819, and when a minister was not to be had he conducted the religious services. He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity and inthe later years of his life was a member of the M.E. Church. He had 17 children, 10 by his first wife and 7 by the second who died in Hartford, Ohio, and was the second adult to be buried in the cemetery at the center of the township.
Daniel married Eunice Brockway about 1810 in Hartford, Hartford Co, Connecticut. Eunice (daughter of Rev Thomas Brockway and Eunice (Lathrop) Lothrop) was born on 20 Nov 1778 in Lebanon, New London, Connecticut; died after 1860 in of, Hartford, Trumbull Co, Ohio. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
Daniel married Rebecca Banning on 01 Mar 1786 in East Hartland, Hartford Co, Connecticut. Rebecca was born about 1767 in East Hartland, Hartford Co, Connecticut; died on 07 Jul 1809 in Hartford, Trumbull Co, Ohio. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
