In 1900 Claudie and Helmer had two children. Claudie stated she had birthed two and had two children living. By 1910 census, she had had 7 children, with 6 living. My grandmother, Lillian, born in 1904 remembered this child as a girl and named Effie.
The male child born in 1913, living only one week, would be a different child. Claudie lost two babies. The family only had remembered there being one lost baby.
