    Military:
    Capt. Thomas Blakemore, Sr. (1718-1808) and three of his sons fought in the Revolutionary War (1776-1777). The sons were GEORGE, THOMAS, Jr.,and JOHN. Morgan Alexander's Company of the 2nd Virginia Regiment,Continental Line, when George heard a musket ball strike Thomas, Jr. and saw him fall instantly, never hearing of him again until being introduced to Jacob Keyser, who had buried his brother.
