    The Lister name is difficult although this spellings helps a bit. One assumes the family comes from northern England (Yorkshire?). This particular line descends from a Nimrod Lister who migrated from Delaware (Sussex county) to Ohio (Ross county) in the first decade of the 1800s. His children (nine) migrated further including my line to IN. The family appears to be from eastern shore MD (possibly Caroline county) but no one to my knowledge has done the difficult primary research.

    Morgan Park Academy (Chicago,Illinois), 1903-1906. Married Grace Hughs (widow Sproull?), who was teaching English at State Teacher's Normal School (Greeley, Colorado).
    University School (Cleveland, Ohio), 1907-1908.
    Colorado State Teachers College (Greeley, Colorado), 1908-1915. He lived at 1809 11th Avenue in 1909 and moved to 1905 10th Avenue in 1910.
    University of Chicago, MA 1916.
    University School (Chicago, Illinois), 1916-1917.
    Olivet College, 1917-1918.
    Northwestern 1918-1919.
    University of Chicago, PhD 1919.
    Wooster College (Wooster, Ohio), 1919-1940. He lived at 325 East Pine Street. Head, Department of Spanish. Travel and study to Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany (January through July 1932; summer 1937). Grace, his wife, died in 1939.
