"Uncle" Watson Scarlett, 78, died Saturday night and was buried in Monday at Double Springs cemetery . Uncle Watson had been in failing health for several months.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Garnetta Dalton Scarlett; 6 children: Mrs Eve Griffin of Alabama, Ruth of Baxter, Roscoe, Tom, Mrs Hallie Nichols and Mrs Vella McHenry, all of Cookeville; one brother and 3 sisters.
