I presume that this is a garbled reference to John T. Holder who was listed in their household on the 1870 census. John T. Holder appears to have been the illegitimate son of one of Nancy's sisters who was living with them temporarily in 1870. His further story gets really tangled, and I'd have to go back to my notes to get it all straight in my mind."
