L. E. Bell Variety Store

You're really old if you remember L. E. Bell - a variety store which was on Highland Avenue - just across from South Park Elementary. I loved all the beautiful rocks and stones on the front of the building -- but the main thing was that delicious looking candy counter -- and how I loved those .5 cent grab bags in the big tub. James Ming (Jane Ming's father) was the butcher there for years and years.
